A missing man, who Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials were looking for over the weekend, has been found dead. The family of 36-year-old Michael Genovese reported him missing Friday night. Officials say Michael was last known to be on foot in the Mingus Mountain area. Deputies found his vehicle with his keys and wallet inside at the trailhead Friday, but attempts to locate him, utilizing a drone, have been unsuccessful. Officials say they were able to obtain historical data from cell phone tower pings to trangulate an area where he had been prior to his phone going out of service. After identifying the area and searching it, deputies found Michael dead after apparently taking his own life.
