Winslow Police arrested a man who was found asleep behind the wheel of a car with its engine running Thursday. Officers were called to the O’Reilly Auto Parts in the 600 block of Mike’s Pike to investigate a report of a black Dodge Charger parked at the store. When officers arrived, they tried to get the man out of the car and he refused. The man then threw a white powdered substance, suspected to be meth, into the face of one of the officers. Officers removed the man from the car and seized 759 fentanyl pills, three grams of heroin, 26 grams of meth and 53 grams of an unknown substance. They also seized two loaded weapons, ammunition and cash. The officer was taken to Little Colorado Medical Center and was released. Police arrested 32-year-old Esteban Fierro and booked him into the Navajo County Jail on numerous felony charges, including aggravated assault, drug possession, being a prohibited firearms possessor and more.
