The state title run for the West Flagstaff Little League baseball team came to an end Thursday night as they fell to Ahwatukee 10-4 in an elimination game in East Flagstaff. Ahwatukee jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning, when West Flagstaff rallied with four runs in the bottom of the second to make it 5-4. It would stay that way until the fourth inning when Ahwatukee added another four runs and tacked on another run in the sixth to get the win. West Flagstaff outfielder Murph Keck was 1-for-2 and had two highlight catches in left field to keep his team in the game. Ahwatukee pitcher Ethan Burik kept West Flagstaff at bay all night, except for the four run second. Burik allowed four runs on five hits and struck out 12 in the win. Ahwatukee will play Sierra Vista at Dawson Field tonight as the tournament is down to six teams.
