Two People Were Killed After A Head-On Collision Near Sedona Sunday

Two people are dead and a third person was injured after a head-on collision on State Route 179 near Sedona at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. DPS says a vehicle was heading northbound on the highway when it drifted over the center lane and hit a second vehicle head-on in the southbound lane. The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the southbound vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. DPS believes impairment played a role in the accident.
