Two People Were Arrested In Cottonwood Monday, One Being A Former Corrections Officer

Two people, including a former officer with the Arizona Department of Corrections, were arrested Monday night on drugs and weapons charges in Cottonwood. Police conducted a traffic stop at around 9:35 p.m. near Main Street and State Route 260. Officers were suspicious after noticing several items inside and did a probable cause search. The search turned up over a-thousand fentanyl pills, over seven grams of powder fentanyl, over 15 grams of meth, a gram of PCP, two-and-a-half Xanax pills, two ten milliliters of testosterone and a hand gun. Arrested was the vehicle’s driver, 25-year-old Ryan Michael Epperson and former officer 47-year-old Deanna Epperson-Fleming. Both were charged with a number of drug charges along with one count of possessing a firearm during a felony drug offense.
