Two Flagstaff Residents Were Killed, Three Kids Injured After An Accident Tuesday Night Near Kayenta

Two adults were killed and three children were injured after an accident on Highway 160 near Kayenta on the Navajo Nation Tuesday night. DPS officials say the accident involved a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle. KAFF News has learned the adults were Dr. Greg Cox and his wife Lindsey Watson, both of Flagstaff. Dr. Cox worked at Flagstaff Medical Center as a physician’s assistant and Lindsay founded Threaded Together, which is a non-profit that was started during the pandemic. Cox was driving, while Watson was in the passenger seat. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their three children, ages seven, five and two were injured. Two of the three were flown to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and one was taken to a local hospital. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. The accident is under investigation.
