There have been two additional arrests of “Catch 22” suspects this week. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Day 6 suspect Armando Juan Gamez Monday and Day 8 suspect Joel Hughes was arrested recently, both in Prescott Valley. Gamez was arrested for armed robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault after a domestic violence incident in 2021, then failed to comply with probation orders. Hughes was ultimately arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false information to a law enforcement officer and forgery, also in 2021. Hughes had been placed on probation, but subsequently violated the terms and conditions of his probation. Gamez was found in a home in the Prescott Valley area and taken into custody without incident. Hughes was walking down the street in Prescott Valley when a police officer recognized him as a “Catch 22” suspect. He was also arrested without incident. Both are currently in the Yavapai County Jail.
