Three Kayakers Escaped Injury On Watson Lake Sunday After They Were Caught In A Thunderstorm

Three kayakers escaped injury after they overturned on Watson Lake Sunday during a thunderstorm. When crews arrived on the scene, they encountered high gusts of wind and reports of a mother, father and their 12-year-old child that needed help. A Prescott Fire crew launched their boat to help them get back in their kayaks and return to shore. All three were wearing lifejackets at the time. Besides being cold, there were no injuries and everyone returned safely to shore. If you are out on our surrounding lakes, make sure you have survival gear and supplies, and never take chances on a lake with a thunderstorm close by.
