Three Hikers Rescued From Flagstaff’s Elden Lookout Trail Sunday

Three people had to be rescued after suffering from heat exhaustion Sunday on Elden Lookout Trail. Flagstaff Fire crews responded to the call of two hikers having health issues on the trail. During the climb up the trail to reach the distressed hikers, the rescue team encountered another hiker exhibiting symptoms of heat exhaustion. Fire crews efficiently managed both situations without any problems. The rescue teams successfully evacuated the hikers from the trail, employing a Stokes Basket to transport one individual, while the other two were assisted in hiking back down to safety. Subsequently, two patients were transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for further evaluation and medical attention.
