A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for areas of Northern Arizona above 35-hundred feet, including the Greater Flagstaff area Sunday. Forecasters say expect 8-12 inches of snow above 75-hundred feet, four-to-eight inches above 6,000-feet and one-to-four inches below 6,000-feet. Forecasters say periods of blowing snow are expected with wind gusts as high as 50 miles per hour. Officials say Flagstaff could see four-to-eight inches of snow, Doney Park three-to-five inches, Munds Park six-to-ten inches, Williams four-to-six inches of snow and the Navajo Nation could see anywhere from two-to-six inches of snow, depending on elevation. Officials suggest people plan ahead for the storm and if you have to travel this weekend, especially late Saturday night through Sunday, use caution, slow down and stay alert for any watches, warnings or road closures from the storm.
