The Miller Fire Is Smoldering In The Secret Mountain Wilderness Near Sedona

The Miller Fire is burning four-and-a-half miles west of Slide Rock State Park, in the Secret Mountain Wilderness of the Coconino National Forest. Officials say the fire was first reported Saturday, but due to weather conditions, aerial resources were not able to confirm the fire until Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. The fire is a quarter-acre and is smoldering at a low intensity in heavy dead and down fuels. Fire managers are monitoring the Miller Fire. The fire is likely to be lightning-caused.
