The Coconino National Forest will begin selling a limited number of Christmas Tree permits online starting next Thursday. Officials say a total of 13-hundred permits will be available to buy on the Coconino National Forest Christmas Tree Permit site, through recreation.gov starting at 8 a.m. Permit owners have between November 17th and December 31st to cut their tree. Forest officials say 400 permits will be designated for cutting areas within the Flagstaff Ranger District and 900 permits will be designated for the Mogollon Rim Ranger District. Other area forests are also selling permits. To find more information on the other forests permits, log onto recreation.gov and search for “Christmas Tree Permits.”
