The Racetrack Fire Has Burned More Than 400 Acres And Is Now 60-Percent Contained

The Racetrack Fire is now 60-percent contained, thanks to Monsoon storms Wednesday.  The fire has burned more than 400 acres about a mile north of Highway 169 near Dewey-Humboldt.  Fire officials say the fire is showing minimal fire behavior and a containment line is holding.  Any smoke from the fire in the coming days will likely becoming from the interior of the fire.
