Fire managers on the Coconino National Forest will conduct another prescribed burn near Flagstaff this week. On Friday, crews plan to burn 437 acres ten miles northeast of Flagstaff alongside Highway 180 as part of the Wild Bill Burn Project. Officials say winds are predicted to blow, and carry smoke, to the southwest. Minimal impacts will be possible along Interstate-40 west of Flagstaff. Another 300 acres were scheduled to burn Thursday on the Sawmill Project south of Flagstaff near Mormon Lake.
