Prescott Police Arrest A 57-Year-Old Prescott Man In Connection With A Domestic Violence Shooting

Prescott Police have arrested 57-year-old Thomas Lind in connection with a domestic altercation that resulted in the fatal shooting death of his wife Tuesday morning. At around 7:54 a.m., officers received calls about two people who were shot at an apartment in the 200 block of North Granite Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Lind who informed police that he had shot his 23-year old stepson and then his 46-year-old wife shot herself.  Investigators determined that a domestic argument had occurred and led to Lind shooting his stepson in the lower abdomen. Following the initial shooting, Lind’s wife shot herself with a handgun from her room. Both victims were taken to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center where Lind’s wife was pronounced dead. The stepson was flown to a Phoenix area hospital and is in stable condition. Lind was taken into custody and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of aggravated assault per domestic violence and misconduct involving weapons. Lind is a prohibited possessor of firearms.  The case is still under investigation.
