Prescott Man Jailed On A Child Sex Trafficking Charge

A Prescott man was jailed Tuesday night on a child sex trafficking charge after he solicited a sex act for payment from an underage female. Human Trafficking detectives embedded with Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking, or PANT, arrested 36-year-old Richard Douthit. He was taken into custody at the girl’s home after contacting her and arranging to meet. Detectives said they found various items of evidence connected to the child sex trafficking count. Yavapai County Sheriff David Rhodes says “once again, I am proud of our human trafficking detectives for taking another sexual predator off the streets.” He adds, “crimes perpetrated at the expense of our most vulnerable are particularly heinous. Arrests like these are one important deterrent to this type of crime.” This is the second sex trafficking arrest made by PANT this past month.
