Prescott Fire crews were called to the 32-hundred block of Sunflower Drive Tuesday after a caller reported a loud boom, followed by smoke coming from the garage of the home. Initial units arrived on the scene at around 2:30 p.m. and found a large amount of smoke coming from the garage. An additional unit arrived on the scene and immediately went into the home to find no one was home at the time. The fire was contained to the garage area and crews remained on scene, pulling drywall to find any possible extension of the fire into the attic or surrounding rooms. Nothing was found. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
