One Person Was Killed In A Fatal Fire In A Sedona Mobile Home Park Tuesday Night

Sedona Fire crews responded to a fatal fire in the Sunset Mobile Home Park Tuesday night. Police and fire crews arrived at the scene at around 10:55 p.m. and quickly evacuated nearby residences due to the fire’s intensity. Fire crews were met with large flames engulfing the home and adjacent trees. During the fire fight, crews were alerted to the possibility someone was still in the home. Firefighters found an older woman in the back part of the home and quickly got her out and to a nearby hospital. She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. A total of ten units and 18 personnel participated in the rescue attempt, with no injuries to any of the crew members. Firefighters contained the fire, keeping it from spreading from the initial site. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
