One Person Killed After Being Hit By A Train Friday In Flagstaff

One person is dead after he was hit by an oncoming train in Flagstaff Friday evening. Flagstaff Police say the incident happened at around 5:39 p.m. to the east of the intersection of Ponderosa Parkway and the railroad tracks. When officers arrived they found the man and he was pronounced dead at the scene, after he was hit by an eastbound train. The man has been identified as 53-year-old Stacey Menold of Flagstaff. The railroad traffic devices were activated at the time of the incident. The matter is under investigation.
