Northern Arizona To See Mostly Rain Below 8,000-Feet Friday, But Could See Some Snow Friday Night And Saturday

A strong storm will bring rain to most areas of Northern Arizona, and some snow through early Sunday. The National Weather Service says snow levels will be around 8,000-feet, then fall to around 65-hundred-feet late Friday night into Saturday. Forecasters say the Greater Flagstaff area could get from a half-inch to an inch of rain, until rain turns to snow then the area could get one-to-two inches of snow. This storm does mean possible good news for Arizona Snowbowl and the San Francisco Peaks, however. Forecasters predict between one-to-two feet of snow on the Peaks by Sunday morning. Officials say the highest chance of hazardous winter traveling on Interstate-40 and Interstate-17 will be late Friday night through noon Saturday. If you have to travel during this time, use caution and take your time getting to your destination.
