Northern Arizona Healthcare Interim Chief Executive Officer Josh Tinkle has been place on administrative leave by the hospital’s board of directors. Because of the board’s decision, new CEO Dave Cheney’s start date is being moved up to next Monday. NAH tells KAFF News the reason for the decision to place Tinkle on leave is due to “a personnel investigation.” Cheney comes to Northern Arizona Healthcare after serving as CEO of Sutter Health Hospitals in California, where he led a 24-hospital network in six markets. He previously worked in Arizona at Samaritan Health System as an executive at Banner Health. The Flagstaff City Council is expected to vote, for a final time Tuesday evening, on NAH’s new hospital and health village slated to be built just north of Fort Tuthill.
