Navajo Police shot and killed a man in Tuba City Monday. Officers responded to the NHA housing at around 11:22 a.m. after reports of a man with a weapon and a woman seen screaming for help. When officers arrived, the man pointed a gun in their direction. An officer fired a shot toward the man and missed. The suspect then went back into the house. An unknown woman then went to the house, making it to the front door. This resulted in a second confrontation with police and the man. The suspect was shot during the exchange. He was rushed to the hospital, but died from his injuries. The incident has been turned over to the FBI and the Navajo Department of Criminal Investigation for further investigation.
