NAU Women See Their Eighth-Game Winning Streak Snapped At Home By Sacramento State

The NAU women’s basketball team saw their winning streak stopped at eight Thursday night as they were stunG by the Sacramento State Hornets, 82-66 in the Skydome. The Hornets led by six at the end of the first quarter. Then the Hornets outscored NAU 26-10 in the second quarter. The Jacks couldn’t recover. NAU was without one of their best players, Emily Rodabaugh, who didn’t play due to an injury. Leia Beattie led the Jacks with 18 points, as she was the only player for double figures for NAU. The Jacks will look to start a new winning streak Saturday when they host the Portland State Vikings. Tip time is at 2 p.m.
