The NAU Lumberjacks women’s basketball team was picked as pre-season favorite to win the Big Sky Conference title by the media Wednesday, while the men’s team was picked eighth by both the coaches and media. The NAU women tied with Eastern Washington with 12 first place votes, but the Jacks got the nod by having four more points than the Eagles. NAU was picked second in the coach’s poll with the Eagles being the favorite. On the men’s side Weber State was the favorite of both the media and coaches. The men start the season November 2nd against SAGU, while the women begin their season November 6th at Oregon.
