NAU Shuts Down Montana State In The Second Half For A Big 76-71 Win Saturday

The NAU Lumberjacks men’s basketball team used a 14-2 run over nine minutes of the second half, and a staunch defensive effort to beat the Montana State Bobcats, 76-71 in the Skydome Saturday. Trent McLaughlin led the Jacks with 24 points and Carson Basham had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Liam Lloyd brought a spark to the floor with ten points, nine rebounds and numerous defensive plays in the win. NAU outscored Montana State 40-30 in the second half and the win snaps the Lumberjacks four game losing streak. It was also NAU’s first win over Montana State in 11 games. NAU will now hit the road, first stop is in Sacramento to take on the Sacramento State Hornets Thursday night. Tip time is at 7 p.m.
