Both NAU basketball teams went to overtime as non-conference action begins to wrap-up. First, the men hosted Utah Valley University in the second of a two-game season series. The Lumberjacks fought back from an 11-point deficit in the second half and forced the game to overtime, but wound up falling 80-75 at the Rolle Activity Center. Jalen Cone led the Jacks with 29 points and Nik Mains had a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds in the loss. NAU will travel to Southern Utah Saturday to take on the Thunderbirds to wrap up the non-conference season. The Jacks were led by Regan Schenck, who scored 17 points and went over the 1,000-point mark as a Lumberjack, making her the 19th player in school history to accomplish the mark. Montana Oltrogge added 15 points and ten rebounds in the win. The Jacks wrap up their three-game California set next Monday at UC-Davis against the Aggies. Tip time is at 6 p.m.
