NAU Football Pulls Off A 27-10 Upset Win On The Road Against 13th-Ranked Weber State Saturday

The NAU Lumberjacks pulled off their second upset of a ranked team in three games as they stunned 13th-ranked Weber State, in Ogden, Saturday 27-10. The Jacks scored all of their points in the second quarter, which included an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown by wide receiver Coleman Owen. It was the first punt return for a touchdown for NAU since Marcus Alford did it against Western New Mexico in 2014. Owen also had ten catches for 60 yards to lead the way for NAU. Freshman quarterback Adam Damante was 25-of-31 for 183 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the win. Devon Starling had 21 carries for 98 yards, and quarterback Angel Flores had five carries for 53 yards and two touchdowns for NAU. The win snaps a three game losing streak to Weber State and the first win in Ogden since 2016, and will take home the Red Rock Rivalry Trophy. NAU will return to the Skydome for Family Weekend next Saturday as they face the Portland State Vikings. The game kicks off at 1 p.m.
