The NAU Lumberjacks again get to the title game and come away with second place as they fell to the Eastern Washington Eagles, 73-64 in the Women’s Big Sky Tournament title game Wednesday. The Jacks were without Olivia Moran, who has an undisclosed illness, but they came out on fire, leading the Eagles 22-12 after one. Eastern Washington began to chip away, trailing by two at halftime to NAU and pulling away in the fourth quarter. Sophie Glancey led the Jacks with 15 points and six rebounds and Nyah Moran added 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Eastern Washington goes to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1987. NAU is expected to receive a post-season bid, but unfortunately it won’t be to the NCAA Tournament. They will find out where they will go and who they will play Sunday.
