More prescribed burning are planned this week on the Coconino National Forest. Burning will take place on the Bar-M Project Tuesday through Thursday. The area is 18 miles directly east of Sedona and south of Mormon Lake. Fire managers will treat 1,742 acres. More burning is needed on the Upper Beaver Creek Project. Burning will take place from Monday through Thursday about 13 miles northwest of Clints Well and southeast of Stoneman Lake. The project is set to burn three-thousand acres. There will be burning on the Sawmill Project, which is also planned from Monday through Thursday. The project will also burn three-thousand acres in an area 17 miles northwest of Clints Well and southeast of Stoneman Lake. Smoke from these projects will be seen from around the area. All burns are contingent on weather conditions at the time.
