Minnesota Homicide Suspect Arrested Near Holbrook Friday

A man, who was wanted in connection of a homicide in Minnesota, was arrested on Interstate-40 east of Holbrook Friday. Navajo County’s Major Crimes Apprehension Team was alerted by Tempe Police that 32-year-old Dajohn Cortez Ramon Yarborough was in Navajo County. NCSO authorities, along with DPS, conducted a traffic stop on I-40 in the Sun Valley area. Yarborough was arrested on the warrant out of Minnesota, a parole warrant and a charge of taking the identity of another. Also arrested was the driver of the vehicle, 59-year-old Paula Ann Hooks from Georgia. She was charged with possession of dangerous drugs. Yarborough was charged with second-degree intentional murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old male at a Minneapolis apartment back in April of 2022.
