A man wanted in connection with a murder in Oklahoma was arrested Monday afternoon on Interstate-40 near Holbrook. State Troopers and deputies from the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to the possibility that 23-year-old Tawann Richardson was driving westbound on I-40 in a stolen black Toyota Camry with Oklahoma plates. A trooper found Richardson on I-40 in Holbrook at around 3:40 p.m. The trooper initiated a traffic stop, but Richardson kept driving. Stop sticks were deployed and Richardson eventually lost control and came to a stop in the median west of Holbrook. Troopers took Richardson and a female passenger into custody without further incident. Richardson was booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook on the warrant out of Oklahoma, a probation violation warrant from Texas and unlawful flight from law enforcement. Richardson, also known as “Pooh Butt,” was wanted in connection with an Easter Sunday death in Lawton, Oklahoma.
