A man was killed by a train Thursday afternoon in Flagstaff. Police responded to the area of the 49-hundred block of east Route 66 at around 4:09 p.m. Witnesses say a man was running north to south across the tracks, possibly trying to cross in front of the eastbound train, when he was hit. Police say 50-year-old Danny Quimayousie of Hotevilla, Arizona was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident happened where there was no intersection or crossing, but the train activated its horn several times before the man was struck. The incident remains under investigation.
