Man Arrested After Shots Fired In A Prescott Home Saturday Night

A Prescott man was arrested after gunshots were fired and a barricade situation ensued in Prescott Saturday night. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home on Lois Lane at around 8:45 p.m. Dispatchers received calls from two different neighbors stating they each heard multiple gun shots and a female screaming “get away from me.” With deputies responding, there was another report of a family fight at the same location. When deputies arrived they found the suspect’s girlfriend and daughter and got them to safety. The suspect, 48-year-old Jason Bueter from Prescott, fired four-to-five gunshots while in the downstairs portion of the home. Deputies learned the suspect was still in the home and secured the area in attempts to get him to surrender. YCSO SWAT was called to the scene and with help from Prescott Valley Police SWAT, got Bueter to surrender after several hours barricaded in the home. A search of the house found the firearm that was used by the suspect, ammunition, casings and video surveillance of the offense. Bueter was booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde on numerous charges.
