Work is underway on a major paving project on southbound Interstate-17 between Kachina Boulevard and south of Munds Park. The work was paused during the winter season. The project will rehabilitate and repave 29 miles of southbound I-17 from the McConnell Drive Bridge in Flagstaff to the Coconino County line. Shoulder rehabilitation work is already underway and construction begins today and will last through the fall of 2023. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 miles per hour in the work zone. When traveling in work zones, use caution around work crews and equipment.
