Nik Mains missed a three-pointer at the buzzer as NAU fell to Sacramento State Saturday, on the road, 59-56. NAU got off to a slow start and trailed Sac State 34-22 at halftime. The Lumberjacks rallied and went on a 7-0 run in the final three minutes of the game to get to within three points, but couldn’t get over the hump. Xavier Fuller led the Jacks with 20 points in the loss. Freshman Oakland Fort added nine points for NAU. The Jacks come home for three straight games starting Thursday night against the Idaho Vandals. Tip time is 6 p.m. at Findlay Toyota Court in the Skydome.
