Senior forward Nik Mains scored 19 points to lead the NAU Lumberjacks to an 82-51 win over Ottawa University Tuesday night at the Rolle Activity Center. The win snapped NAU’s three game losing streak. The Lumberjacks wanted to make a concerted effort on the defensive side of the ball and they did just that. The Jacks held the Spirit to 30-percent shooting from the field and 13-percent from three-point range as Ottawa was just three-of-24 from three. Xavier Fuller added 16 points and seven rebounds and Carson Towt pulled down 12 rebounds in the win. NAU shot 42-percent from the field and 44-percent from three-point range. They also outrebounded Ottawa 52-35. The Jacks now head to California for a pair of games starting Saturday in Malibu against the Pepperdine Waves. Tip time is at 6 p.m.
