Kaibab National Forest Closes The Oak Hill Snow Play Area For The Winter Near Williams Due To Forest Restoration Work

The Oak Hill Snow Play area and the Keyhole Sink Trailhead near Williams will be closed for the 2023-2024 winter season. The area is about ten miles east of Williams on Historic Route 66. The reason for the closure is due to forest restoration projects that include logging operations in the area. Heavy equipment will be working in and around the snow play area, which will also see a large amount of woody debris making the area unsafe for visitors. The closure is in effect through March 18th of 2024, unless the order is recinded sooner.
