High Wind Warning Issued For Parts Of Northern Arizona, Very Strong Gusty Winds Through To Sunday Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for parts of Northern Arizona, including Flagstaff through 1 p.m. Sunday. The warning includes Tuba City, Munds Park, Williams and more. Forecasters say expect 30-to-40 mile an hour winds, with gusts up to 60 miles-per-hour. In areas from Doney Park to Meteor Crater and along the Black Mesa, wind gusts could get up to 70 miles per hour. With winds this strong, it will make driving extremely difficult, especially for high profile vehicles such as RV’s, campers and tractor trailers. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs and secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. If you have to travel, use extreme caution.
