Flash Flood Watch In Effect Until 5 A.M. Monday For Areas Of Northern Arizona

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 5 a.m. Monday for areas of northern Arizona.  The watch area includes: The Greater Flagstaff Area, Prescott, Williams, Cottonwood, Camp Verde and more.  The National Weather Service says a surge of moisture from Tropical Storm Hillary will lead to an increased threat of thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall and flash flooding.  Storms Sunday afternoon and evening could bring heavy rains to the burn areas.  Be alert the rest of the day and if you come across a flooded stream, wash or roadway, don’t try and cross it.  Weather will return to normal Monsoon conditions Monday through the rest of the week.
