Drop-off recycling has reopened at Flagstaff’s Recycling Transfer Center on Butler Avenue. The center had been closed since before the City of Flagstaff took it over earlier this month. Until the city is able to implement plans for further staffing, operational hours will be limited. Recycling bins are now available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed during the weekend. Areas outside the transfer facility, which are outside of the public drop-off area, will remain closed to the public. For businesses, the City of Flagstaff says the recycling center is not currently equipped to handle commercial recycling. The list of acceptable materials that can be recycled has not changed and can be viewed on the City of Flagstaff’s website.
