Flagstaff Falls To Prescott Friday, 53-20

Travel issues weren’t the only thing the Flagstaff Eagles football team had problems with Friday. The Prescott Badgers were a headache as well, as Flagstaff fell on the road in Prescott, 53-20. The game started about 45 minutes late after Flagstaff encountered problems getting to Prescott. Running back Jayden Wetzel had another solid game for the Eagles. The junior had 28 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown, and also had 79 yards receiving in the loss. Sophomore quarterback was 14-of-28 for 177 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Flagstaff. The Eagles trailed 20-13 at halftime, but never got closer as the Badgers pulled away in the second half. Flagstaff will have a chance to get healthy this week as they have a bye. The Eagles fall to 0-2 in the Grand Canyon Region.
