Flagstaff Boys And Girls Basketball Fall To Mesquite Friday

It was a rough night for the Flagstaff Eagles boys and girls basketball teams against the Mesquite Wildcats Friday night. The girls traveled to Mesquite to take on the Wildcats without guard Morningrain Honani, who left Tuesday’s game with an injury. The Eagles were outscored in every quarter, falling to Mesquite 75-40. On the boys side Mesquite outscored Flagstaff 25-6 in the second quarter en route to a 60-36 win. Senior swingman Jake Centner led the Eagles with 26 points, however the rest of the Eagles scored just ten. Both teams are off until Wednesday when they host the Flagstaff Pepsi Holiday Tournament at Flagstaff High School. The tournament runs from Wednesday through Friday.
