Flagstaff And Summit Fire Crews Carefully Use Extrication Equipment To Remove A Driver From A Large Vehicle On Eastbound I-40 Monday

Flagstaff Fire and Summit Fire and Medical crews were called to an accident on eastbound Interstate-40 Monday. When crews arrived they found a full-sized diesel pusher RV had rolled into the median. Crews found the driver pinned in his seat. Additional crews with extrication equipment were called to the scene. Crews had to carefully use the equipment and go slowly. After an hour and a half, crews were able to remove the driver from the vehicle and transport him to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. He is in serious condition with non-life threatened injuries. There’s no word on what caused the accident.
