The Big Sky Conference announced Wednesday that they have reached a new multi-year, multi-platform agreement with ESPN. More than 600 Big Sky events, in both men’s and women’s sports, will stream on ESPN-Plus and the ESPN App. ESPNU will televise two football games each season, in addition to one men’s basketball game and the championship games for both Big Sky Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments. The first event on the ESPN networks is the Big Sky Conference’s annual Football Kickoff on Monday, July 26th. The relationship between the Big Sky and ESPN started on October 4th, 1980 when ESPN aired NAU’s homecoming game against Idaho State.
