Day 4 of “Catch 22” focuses on a man wanted in connection in an armed robbery at a Cottonwood WalMart in 2022. Police responded to the store at around 7:40 p.m. on a report of an attempted robbery. When officers arrived they contacted a family of four who had called police. The family told officers a man approached them with a large knife when they were shopping at the store. The man demanded money and belongings from the purse of one of the family members. After the victim complied and opened her purse, he walked away saying, “just kidding.” Officers found the suspect with the knife in his possession. The man provided a false name to officers because he had a felony warrant for his arrest. Officers soon identified the man as 29-year-old Lloyd David of Scottsdale. During his arrest, David assaulted one of the arresting officers causing minor injuries. David was convicted of robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He was later released on probation which he has violated. He now has a probation violation warrant for his arrest. David is a Native American male, five-feet-seven inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His last know address was in the 94-hundred block of East Palo Verde Drive in Scottsdale. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for anyone who has information on the whereabouts of David, and it leads to his arrest.
