Cottonwood Police Arrest A Utah Man After A Domestic Violence Incident This Week

Cottonwood Police arrested a Utah man after a domestic violence incident earlier this week. Officers responded to 778 North Main Street at around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday after a report of a man forcefully grabbing and pushing a woman as they approached the home. The person who reported the incident saw it through a surveillance camera. When officers arrived they didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. However as they approached the home, they overheard a man mocking and talking disparagingly about someone being a victim. Officers looked through the window and saw two people with the woman lying on the bed. After hearing the male subject, officers attempted to make contact by knocking on the door an announcing themselves. No one answered. A standoff ensued after an officer saw what appeared to be a firearm in the man’s hands, prompting officers to take cover. After about an hour, the two inside voluntarily came out of the home. The man is identified as 37-year-old Brandon Bigler from St. George, Utah. He was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct per domestic violence. Bigler has been booked into the Yavapai County Jail.
