Cottonwood Police Arrest A Man Suspected Of Kidnapping And Sexual Abuse

A Cottonwood man was arrested for his involvement in a sexual abuse and kidnapping incident that took place late last month at a home in Cottonwood. In late March, a Cottonwood woman reported that 42-year-old Justin Piper went into her home uninvited and shut the door behind him. The woman told police she was familiar with Piper through a mutual friend, but he had never come over uninvited before. When she told him to leave, he made sexual advances towards her. He then forced her to the floor and began assaulting her. Piper then left the home in his vehicle. Investigators were able to collect substantial evidence and arrest Piper this week. He was charged with sexual abuse, kidnapping and assault. Piper was booked into the Yavapai County Jail and has since been released on a $50-thousand bond.
