NAU junior guard Jalen Cone scored a career-high 38 points, including seven three-pointers, but it wasn’t enough as the Lumberjacks fell to The Abilene Christian Wildcats, 92-82, Sunday at the Rolle Activity Center. Cone had 15 points at halftime as the Lumberjacks had a 40-39 lead. The Wildcats outscored the Jacks, 53-42 in the second half and shot 61-percent from the field in the second half en route to the win. Sophomore forward Carson Towt had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. NAU falls to 2-6 on the season and will take on the Ottawa Spirit Tuesday night at the Rolle Activity Center. Tip time is at 6 p.m.
