Coconino’s Bridger French Named “Week 7 Nominee” For The 2023 Ed Doherty Award

Coconino’s Bridger French is one of seven players named “Week 7 Nominees” for the 2023 Ed Doherty Award. French rushed for 221 yards on 24 carries with three touchdowns in the Panthers 41-7 win over Bradshaw Mountain Friday. Others receiving recognition are Jack Bleier, linebacker from Basha High School, Beau Devens quarterback from Canyon View, Dayton Foster wide receiver for American Leadership Academy West Foothills, Carlos Montoya linebacker from Walden Grove, Chandler running back Ca’Lil Valentine and Centennial wide receiver/defensive back Kenny Worthy the Third. French is now a candidate for the Ed Doherty Award, which annually recognizing Arizona’s most outstanding high school football player. The winner will be announced at a luncheon Saturday, December 9th at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort and Villas.
