Coconino National Forest Fire Managers Plan A Two-Day Burn For North Of Bellemont Starting Wednesday

Coconino National Forest fire managers will conduct a two-day burn five miles north of Bellemont, starting Wednesday. The burn is in a segment of the Horseshoe Project and it consists of over 13-hundred acres. Smoke will be visible to those in Northern Arizona as the burn takes place. Smoke may impact areas of Bellemont and Parks, especially as it settles during the evening and early morning hours after the burn, but will lift and dissipate as the heat of the day increases.
